a long lonesome roadThe semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a very high number of comments, so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, as the mass media insists that it's perfectly normal for pro athletes to drop dead of heart attacks at sixty times the usual rate, and search engines turn up a steadily increasing series of hits for the search string "died suddenly," the floor is open for discussion.

The picture in the article is a vial of smallpox vaccine, and would not have live smallpox organisms inside it. There is a small stock of very old smallpox vaccine in the United States.
Twenty years ago, it was only being given to troops who were heading into a war where they thought the other side might release smallpox, or to lab workers in germ warfare labs who could be exposed to smallpox.
"Vaccinia" is the latin name for smallpox, and would possibly indicate an extraordinarily dangerous biological sample. It would not be in a vial with a rubber cork and no flange though.
Do we have any pictures of the actual vials? If not, this story smells very doubtful to me.
It is often useful to ask, "who benefits?"--I can't imagine anyone being able to benefit from the re-release of smallpox, under any circumstances. I can imagine people benefitting from stirring up baseless panic, so again, I am skeptical.

Not to be too nitpicky, but the smallpox virus is Variola.

The related Vaccinia virus does not usually cause severe illness in humans but induces cross-protective immunity against smallpox. This was Edward Jenner's discovery and is also the origin of the word "vaccine".

Ah Vaccinia.
Anonymous, your skepticism will continue to serve you well in the coming days. I think the pic is from 2003? I seem to remember something about an ongoing debate of giving all remaining samples of Poliovirus and variola virus the Dalek "Annihilate!" treatment in the past decade, but then shortly thereafter there was a resurgence of Poliomyelitis in some faraway land of noble savages. Most likely the picture reminded me of this story and cross connected red threads in all the wrong places... I do see that as recent as 2014 sealed glass vials of smallpox dated 1954 were discovered in Bethesda Maryland ( NIH USA) so perhaps this is an ongoing situation of yesterdays leftovers, as opposed to covert cowpox or smallpox vaccine research by Dr. Frederick Frankenstein & co. In the meantime, I have a need to remain skeptical of too good to be true answers, while keeping an open mind to the visions and images of creative thinkers like AWH.
