Lunar EclipseIt's been a while since I've posted anything here about my mundane astrology project, but the project itself is ongoing. In March I posted Aries ingress charts for the US, Britain, India, Japan, and Australia; since then I've posted a couple of essays on Grand Mutations in the past, with an eye toward the upcoming Grand Mutation in December, begun posting Cancer ingress predictions (that for the US is up already); and just now posted predictions for the penumbral lunar eclipse on June 5-6, 2020, which promises turmoil across large parts of the Middle East -- in Riyadh, Tehran, and a number of other capitals in the region, the Moon is eclipsed in the 10th house while square Mars and Neptune conjunct in the 1st. It promises to be a troubled few months.

Over the next month or so I plan on posting Cancer ingress charts for the other four nations I'm currently tracking, plus forecasts for the upcoming annular solar eclipse of June 21, 2020 -- yes, that happens the day after the summer solstice, and promises to be a wowser.

An enthusiastic thank you to everyone who's subscribed to the astrological project on Patreon or SubscribeStar, and made it possible for me to put serious time into this project. Interested in joining the fun?  My Patreon page is here and my SubscribeStar page is here

"The only bigger deal in mundane astrology is a conjunction of these two planets at the beginning of Aries; the last of those happened in 1702 and brought the modern world into being."

How often does this Aries conjunction happen? Thanks so much for the mundane posts. Despite looming money shortages that would be the last subscription I'd drop, if it becomes necessary.

One seemingly magical dimension I've noticed is that the donations I have made over the past year or so to projects and planetary charities haven't adversely impacted my monthly balance sheet, despite no notable changes otherwise in my income or expenses.

Thank you! Historical astrology is fascinating. On a positive note, the Kali Yuga is supposedly ending around now. Not that we are likely to see much related improvement for a few millennia...

The old Pagans seem correct. Without intending it exactly, I have 4 sites I give to each month, one representing each element (your blog is for Earth, of course! A climate YouTuber for Air, etc). Hoping to keep up the planetary charities indefinitely, even after the initial offering sets are complete. It feels like it just flows through and leaves a sense of satisfaction, like gardening. It also kind of builds trust with the invisible realms to see it happening in the physical.

For anyone interested, I started the planetary charities with a site called Charity Navigator, which was mentioned on a Vedic astrology site. It makes it easy to set up recurring donations so you don't unintentionally miss one, and there are lots of charities to choose from using search to find appropriate ones for each Planet.

Just finding the time to take a closer look to your astrology updates after my jaw dropped a few inches a couple of times this past months. I think I recall something on the Aries ingress (maybe not that one) about violence towards woman. I don’t know if that manifested here in the US, at least I didn’t catch anything particular but did you see the huge manifestation in Mexico about the feminicides? I assume US and Mexico charts differ substantially but I guess some sort of connection is also there. I don’t have the slightest clue about astrology and need to hold myself from trying to grasp to many things at the same time but do you take questions regarding your astrology updates? If yes, through here or maybe the platform?

Basically women from the whole country “disappeared” as a form of protest for a day, mainly in the capital and other big cities. They called it “A day without women” the day after international women’s day which is when the march happened. The president was not liked by his attitude towards it. They didn’t go to work, to school or out of their homes as to show their importance on society. It was very popular and almost all woman I know did it in one form or another with various degrees of commitment and reflections but overall it was a nationwide thing. It was big enough that some employers were not taking their absence out of their paychecks and the like. It ranged all the way from the peaceful marching, the social media posing, ad material, the death to the patriarchy rhetoric a bonfire and throwing a couple of Molotov bombs. Violence towards woman has been gruesome in Mexico, in the heartless homicide and torture range for many years now and this in particular was triggered by two particularly grim murder cases of Ingrid Escamilla and a little girl. As for timing, I think it was a couple of weeks after you posted your update.

As for the questions, great! I have been wanting to show up there for while, I have a concrete excuse now I assume then that details about some of the charts are ok?

Here are some headlines I found in English

I find it an interesting fact that more than one mundane chart in this time points to political unrest - the lunar eclipse, the Cancer ingress chart, and maybe others. Depending on the location of Mars square Sun and Moon as regarding to the houses in which they are, the United States and Near Eastern countries won't be the only countries experienceing political unrest.

This last one especially so, and since JMG is not at all known for hyperbole or alarmism (quite the opposite) in the 10+ years I've been reading, all the more alarming.

Hi John,
I know we are small and not very important on the international stage but would you consider including Canada in your mundane astrology? Anything going on in the USA has huge repercussions here and in light of what you've said about civil unrest in the States I've been really curious about what is likely to happen here.
Thanks,
Elaine

How much experience is needed before studying mundane astrology?

Canadian here: well, I've been looking for something to do with my time, and I may be able to answer this request. There's an eclipse on the 5th, so I'll be able to post the link to where I'll be doing these on your next open post. It'll be a learning experience!

Great Conjunction & Grand Mutation

I've finally got finished a bunch of reading and projects and looked up the Grand Mutation. There seems to be some disagreement as to whether it takes place at the end of Capricorn or the beginning of Aquarius, and different astrologers, of course, give different signs for the previous conjunctions and everyone is off by a couple of degrees, &c. &. To muddy the waters, some are referring to the synod. Some start the current cycle in 1802 instead of 1842.
Finally understand what the Grand Mutation signifies, and, when I go back over the readings, I can see how the pattern of life, at least in the western civilization, changed with the changing mutations, particularly how the Industrial Revolution really started going in the 1840s, even though there was a continuum of inventions that led up to that, an how material culture became dominant, even though material wealth has always been a feature of every society in history.
FWIW, I was born just after the 1961 conjunction, while the two planets were still conjunct in my chart, and with Capricorn rising, which does describe me very well.
