It's getting on for midnight, so we can proceed with a new Magic Monday. Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it. That's the third card in The Sacred Geometry Oracle. Card 3, The Line, when upright tells you that it's appropriate to continue in the direction you're going; when reversed, it warns you that you are crossing a line into unfamiliar territory and some things will have to be left behind. The oak leaves on the sides of the image tell you that this card belongs to the first third of the oracle, which corresponds to Calas, the principle of solidity and materiality.

Date: 2021-12-27 02:59 pm (UTC)My question is about the magical lodge and finding one. Is this something that appears more when I am ready for it or should I actively seek one out? I am okay with being a solitary practitioner for the next couple of months but I'd love to expand. I keep returning to something Dion Fortune wrote about our work being a lagoon attached to a larger sea. I'd like to generate positive energy and work in my lagoon so that when it drifts out it adds something to the benefit of all.
What book do I go to next after LRM?

Date: 2021-12-27 07:51 pm (UTC)As for a magical lodge, I'm sorry to say that these days most of the ones I know of are pretty dysfunctional, and those that aren't usually accept members only by personal recommendation. There are a lot of messed-up people out there in the occult scene! You might consider picking up a copy of my book Inside a Magical Lodge and seeing if you can find some sane people to work with, and then go on and create a lodge together.

Date: 2021-12-27 09:23 pm (UTC)Thank you for the heads up on magical lodges. I’ve had an odd assortment of women brag about their pagan or Wicca practices to me in the last few months. It’s funny they feel compelled to share this with me unprompted. The way it’s said each time makes me want to take some steps backwards slowly to not agitate them further.
Looking forward to deepening the practices in 2022 and beyond.
