Card 3It's getting on for midnight, so we can proceed with a new Magic Monday. Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it. Any question received by midnight Monday Eastern time will get an answer. (Please note:  Any question received after then will not get an answer, and in fact will just be deleted. I've been getting an increasing number of people trying to post after these are closed, so will have to draw a harder line than before.) If you're in a hurry, or suspect you may be the 143,916th person to ask a question, please check out the very rough version 1.0 of The Magic Monday FAQ here.

The image?  That's the third card in The Sacred Geometry Oracle. Card 3, The Line, when upright tells you that it's appropriate to continue in the direction you're going; when reversed, it warns you that you are crossing a line into unfamiliar territory and some things will have to be left behind. The oak leaves on the sides of the image tell you that this card belongs to the first third of the oracle, which corresponds to Calas, the principle of solidity and materiality.

I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use the button above to access my online tip jar. If you're interested in political and economic astrology, or simply prefer to use a subscription service to support your favorite authors, you can find my Patreon page here and my SubscribeStar page here.

Bookshop logoI've also had quite a few people over the years ask me where they should buy my books, and here's the answer. Bookshop.org is an alternative online bookstore that supports local bookstores and authors, which a certain other gargantuan corporation doesn't, and I now have a shop there, which you can check out here. Please consider patronizing it if you'd like to purchase any of my books online.

And don't forget to look up your Pangalactic New Age Soul Signature at CosmicOom.com.

With that said, have at it!

***This Magic Monday is now closed. See you next week!***

So if an idiot-who-shall-not-be-named were to work through the yes or no aspects of each of the Judges for a question based on each Judge’s affinity (or not) for the subject in question … and then proceeded to ask other questions (also aiming for a yes/no response) but forgot that the polarity of each Judge’s Y/N was subject related … would the system perchance have taken pity on him and provided the correct response despite the mechanics (as in the spirit of the divinatory knew what he meant) or would the system have given the correct answers then read incorrectly by said idiot (as in the system will get it right and if you want to read it wrong that is not the system’s fault) or does the whole thing just end up as useless chaos (good question plus bad method = garbage out).

Didn’t keep any records so no way to go back and re-interpret the answers (guessing this is where doing it in a book had benefits over using an excel spreadsheet).

I also have to get over the concept that it should work out as four judge on the yes side and four on the no side – it doesn’t have to be ‘even’ to work!

Sorry about that - yes I was talking about Geomancy.

I looked at each of the eight possible results for the Judge field and worked out which ones were positive and which ones were negative for the area I was querying.

Later when I was asking about different areas I used the same yes/no assignments for the Judges that I had previously worked out for the first specific area.

The reference to even numbers was I was feeling like of the eight possible results for any question four needed to be positive and four negative but that is unlikely to be a rule...
