1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.
2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.
3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.
4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.
With that said, as the mass media insists that it's perfectly normal for pro athletes to drop dead of heart attacks at sixty times the usual rate, and search engines turn up a steadily increasing series of hits for the search string "died suddenly," the floor is open for discussion.

When it comes to simple protests, though, I don't think there is a single country where that is effective as changing anything. They do seem to be good at this point for helping people meet others who feel similarly. I think our host is right too that many people during the pandemic realized just how pointless their entire life within the system had become. I hear from plenty of people who really cannot afford to leave the system now, but given how long I've been having to wait for orders from America to arrive, there are many who are not thus restricted.

I had a conference at my children's school yesterday, to talk about when my kids might start attending school again. The situation is complicated, because we are not the least bit worried about the kids getting the 'rona, but we are pretending to be worried as an excuse to home-school the kids. The school people, likewise, are not the least bit worried about the 'rona, but they have to do all the hygiene theater because the orders come down from on high. We danced around the subject for a little while. I played dumb and said we don't feel it is safe to send the kids to school because, in the school's own assessment, all of these infection prevention measures are still needed. Then they replied that they think it's really quite safe, and they are just doing the absolute minimum that the government requires them to do. I don't really hold it against them (at the local level) - they are just trying to make the best of a bad situation. I consider all the masks and "don't talk or touch each other" stuff to be child abuse, though.
