storm over washingtonI've mentioned here a few times the very disturbing nature of the chart for the upcoming US presidential inauguration.  Yesterday I completed the delineation for the chart; "grim" isn't the half of it. I've decided to post the delineation as an open post, available to everyone whether they've subscribed or not, on my SubscribeStar and Patreon platforms:

May I be frank?  This is far and away the most malefic mundane chart I have ever studied. Six of the nine planets are clustered in two tight stelliums that are square to each other, and the other three planets are basically out of the picture.

I have no idea if Donald Trump or anyone in his inner circle pays the least attention to astrology, but if so, I hope he has the great good sense to button up his ego, let his legal challenges slide, prepare to depart the White House with whatever theatrics he considers appropriate, and thank his lucky stars that he can sit out the next four years and get ready for 2024. Whoever is inaugurated this coming January will be walking face first into a buzzsaw.

One thing to keep in mind regarding COVID is that the panic, at least, has so far seemed to correlate well with the Saturn-Pluto conjunctions. New cases are maxing out about 1-2 weeks after the exact conjunction, which suggests that the restrictions (which, after all, do reduce the spread) are imposed more or less at the conjunction itself. (Note that the reimposition of restrictions, where that happened at all, was much lighter in the June/July conjunction than i There are no more Saturn-Pluto conjunctions now until 2054 (and if JMG is right about Pluto, we just had the last one that "counts", ever).

Mind you, my prediction back in April about the virus settling down was wrong - for some reason it didn't occur to me that Saturn-Pluto tends not to "change its mind" during the same sequence of passes - but I've had divinations going back to the beginning of the pandemic that have been pretty consistently pointing to early February as the end of the whole thing - and I actually was asking about restrictions, not the pandemic itself. (That said, I was also asking about restrictions in my area, which have been consistently lighter than in some others. Bars are still open here, though I expect they'll reclose before Thanksgiving.)

I know it goes against the grain of what many people believe, but I find it hard to see draconian measures lasting very long once the whole Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto mess breaks up.

Just in time for Christmas.

That'll go over well. /snark

One of the things I was doing was to create a miniature Barbault Index for the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto conjunction itself (basically: add up the degrees of arc separating Jupiter/Saturn, Saturn/Pluto, and Jupiter/Pluto - the full version includes Uranus and Neptune as well). This index reached its lowest value (i.e. the worst value, the one as close to a perfect triple conjunction as it was going to get) on November 13 at 8.20, lower than it was in March.

When China locked down back in mid-January it was at about 25, and it ascends back above that number in mid-January 2021, and returns to a pre-pandemic level around the start of April. Because of social inertia, that probably doesn't mean a 100% all-clear, but it probably means we will be out of the woods with COVID restrictions by late spring/early summer, especially as Jupiter will be in its fast phase in late winter/early spring. (Note: This does not mean we'll be out of the woods with this whole decadal mess, just the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto part of it. We still have Neptune opposite US natal Neptune, Pluto opposite natal Mercury, the inauguration chart, the nasty eclipses, etc.)
