It's an interesting chart, and leaves me thinking that Charles arranged for an astrologer to choose the date and time; astrological conditions are difficult all through this year, but the chart does as good a job to give the new reign a good start as it probably could. (A grand trine and a well dignified midheaven aren't to be sniffed at.) Now we'll just have to see what happens...

Date: 2023-04-28 03:23 am (UTC)Enough so, that I'm wondering: did your initial link go where you thought it did? Because the link that I can follow points to Amam, a place in South Judah, with no other context or symbolic meaning. If you're counting on folks knowing the Biblical significance of Amam, especially as it relates to astrologers, it's flying over at least my head. It's possible that my Bibilical knowledge is sadly lacking, but if you originally intended to link to a different reference that was more directly related to the idea that "stuff's about to get weird/tough" as referenced by the Jurassic Park quote cross-stitched in the image in your reply, then you might consider reposting.

Date: 2023-04-28 07:20 pm (UTC)I'll be more explicit, since so many didn't speak hieroglyphics last time, either. The mistake was mistaking a person for a place, and a myth for a man. And a dying culture overlay for the living, growing one coming from beneath. If you share the culture, you'll be able to figure it out. There are more, I'm sure; I always miss some, because it's a pluralistic culture, and not all of them are for me. I can't wait to see what others find.
The image contains symbols, here are the keys:
-Jurassic Park, and the character and reference scenes
-white circle over Nature
- crosstitch
-a King's coronation
-the image comes from Lady Jane Grey stitchery
- Jung's "backside", and what to do with it (instead of projecting it)
-otherwise, you end up with what cigarettes are a leading cause of (that is, heart disease, and ocean pollution). Not to mention genetic engineering, monoculture and the collapse of the family farm.

Date: 2023-04-29 12:59 pm (UTC)I was actually baiting for people who DO get it. No one got the 538 reference! Not even my partner. Which was a significant piece of information for me. People who were really keen on the Kekistani chaos magic were seeing 538 as a significant synchronicity before Trump's election. Trump's election wasn't a disaster - but he was a big projection screen for people's shadows! And a significant shakeup to the status quo.
The magic I practice, to my knowledge, doesn't have a name. The best my partner and I have been able to come up with is Theurgic Shamanaic Astrological Jungian Chaos Magic, lol.
I know it's shamanic, because the involuntary and terrifying initiation that I had, and the way it works: Shamans must learn to heal their own selves in the spirit world, and then the gift their spirit guides give them is the one they can use to come back and help heal their community.
I know it's theurgic, because before I act, I always pray to ensure it is in accordance with the will of the deities I serve (and often, when it's really good, I can see that other people are getting signs and answers to their prayers on the same wavelength when I read Tunesmyth's prayer list).
It is also Astrological, because it works when factors in the astral - which can be predicted using mundane astrology - are such that I can see synchronicities coming hard and fast in the keywords people are saying around me, what JMG is saying the mundane astrology says.
I know it is Jungian, because I also divine on whether it is in accordance with the will of my Higher Self, and it uses my intuition, which is my inferior function - the place where God comes in, according to the Jungians - which is the part in the unconscious. MY shadow.
It's kekistani chaos magic, because it uses the same memetic techniques and hypersigils.
So when I see what is coming up for me in my daily divinations and the songs that I'm hearing in my head generate hard and fast synchronicities with what other people are saying, the hot button topics in the news, and what the mundane charts show is approaching, I know that means I have the ability to take a piece of the energy brewing the collective sh*tshorm and heal it by constellating and earthing out a part of my own shadow consciously, rather than let it earth out more harmfully in the unconscious shadow projections of the collective.
I have no idea what category the technologies of Jungian analysis and chaos magic are in - are they going out with Pluto? Or coming in with Uranus? I don't know. It's clearly in my shadow as a person, and as a Westerner. I think the Age of Aquarius has already demonstrated that the technological innovations we'll come up with are very powerful; but many are very dangerous with no real cost-benefit reward that collectively we can't admit (nuclear fission) and others are ambiguous, with real costs and real benefits, like rail travel and the steam engine. Presumably, some are both extremely powerful and extremely good. And we can't not do it, this innovation. Humans can never stop themselves from stealing that fire from the gods. We're just not that good.
JPRussell saw that meaning: it's about to get rough, the stars are clear. But, I know this: Dr. Arnold in Jurassic Park says, "hold on to your butts" right before he shuts the power off to try to stop things from getting worse. But what he set up allowed the next character to turn it back on at the main source (after he gets eaten, of course) and for the situation to turn around for the survivors.
I think, like many forms of magic, it is potentially very dangerous, in the 'blow yourself up and then become a force of destruction in the lives of all around you' kind of way.
So to check that what I am doing is as safe as I can make it, I use my dreams to guide me, and the nature of the synchronicities, and the conditions of my life (e.g. is the quality of the people I am surrounded by in my life getting better or worse? Are these synchronicities of good things happening? The symbols of beneficent beings?). To check whether it's effective, I check whether I get some results immediately in the external world as well as in terms of my own understanding of my shadow (both the good and bad parts - as all shadows are both our strengths and our weaknesses). So far, whenever that happens to me, I have seen it cascade outward beneficently in widening and slowing circles. At least, I think so: that's always the terrifying thing when we act in the world in any way. Having to test our own motivations and the secret intentions of our own hearts.
As always, thank you for your patience, JMG. I am so far extremely pleased by my results.

Date: 2023-04-27 05:03 pm (UTC)Isolated Moon...
Date: 2023-04-27 11:42 am (UTC)Viewing the chart superficially through Vedic astrological eyes, the one thing that jumped out at me is that all planets but one are lumped together in five successive houses with the Moon isolated with three empty houses on either side. In Vedic astrology, the Moon always does better when not alone (kind of like a timorous person who is fearful if living alone); I am not sure if the same is believed in Western astrology. I get the feeling that the mind of the king is ‘waaaaay out there’ and is divorced from virtually all aspects of his kingdom. (Yes, I am sure that the Grand Trine helps to mitigate it, but I see that as a person alone in a home who likes to chat on the phone with friends to keep himself from wigging out) But maybe that’s just my idiosyncratic take on the chart.

Mundane charts of predecessors
Date: 2023-04-27 04:01 pm (UTC)Britain had four monarchs in the twentieth century, but only two coronations. The coronations were recent enough that sufficiently exact times of day might be available. Would you have any interest in interpreting the charts of George VI and Elizabeth II as a control?

Date: 2023-04-27 05:07 pm (UTC)Re: Mundane charts of predecessors
Date: 2023-04-27 11:53 pm (UTC)It struck me that using election astrology to choose a coronation date and time is more likely to be an unbroken tradition than something that was abandoned and is being revived. The Royals are all about tradition after all and putting on sumptuous public ceremonies is their stock-in-trade. There is not much chance that any of it is left to chance.

Re: Isolated Moon...
Date: 2023-05-01 03:10 am (UTC)Sorry, but I don't frequent archive.org and am not familiar with searching it. Besides, there may not be anything because all the Vedic astrology books that I have read that are comprehensible to a Western reader are written by authors who are still very much alive. My introduction to the discipline was "Ancient Hindu Astrology for the Modern Western Astrologer" by James Braha (1986). Braha has several other more recent Vedic astrology books, too. David Frawley's books on astrology are also good. If you are fond of videos, I recommend Ryan Kurczak (https://www.youtube.com/user/RyansVedicAstrology) who is very systematic and provides a great deal of basic info for free. There are many others out there who are pretty good; it's often a matter of personal taste. Warning: Vedic astrology is so complex that to become proficient in it is pretty much equivalent to getting a PhD.

Date: 2023-04-28 01:39 pm (UTC)When King Charles is officially crowned during his coronation ceremony on May 6, he will be seated upon centuries of British history.
For over 700 years, the Coronation Chair has been integral to marking the beginning of a new monarch's reign, providing a centerpiece for the crowning of royals like Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and Charles' mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
When the chair was originally commissioned by King Edward I in the early 1300s, its primary purpose was to house the monarch's newly acquired Stone of Scone (pronounced "skoon"). The 300-pound rock had previously been in Scotland's possession, whose monarchy had used it as a throne for hundreds of years — though some legends date it as far back as Biblical times.
