walking up hillsThe pandemic has been scrubbed from the front pages at this point and replaced by a different hysteria du jour, but the semi-open posts  I've hosted here on the Covid-19 narrative, the inadequately tested experimental drugs for it, and the whole cascading mess surrounding them have continued to field a steady stream of comments, so I'm opening yet another space for discussion. The rules are the same as before:

1. If you plan on parroting the party line of the medical industry and its paid shills, please go away. This is a place for people to talk openly, honestly, and freely about their concerns that the party line in question is dangerously flawed and that actions being pushed by the medical industry et al. are causing injury and death. It is not a place for you to dismiss those concerns. Anyone who wants to hear the official story and the arguments in favor of it can find those on hundreds of thousands of websites.

2. If you plan on insisting that the current situation is the result of a deliberate plot by some villainous group of people or other, please go away. There are tens of thousands of websites currently rehashing various conspiracy theories about the Covid-19 outbreak and the vaccines. This is not one of them. What we're exploring is the likelihood that what's going on is the product of the same arrogance, incompetence, and corruption that the medical industry and its tame politicians have displayed so abundantly in recent decades. That possibility deserves a space of its own for discussion, and that's what we're doing here.

3. If you plan on using rent-a-troll derailing or disruption tactics, please go away. I'm quite familiar with the standard tactics used by troll farms to disrupt online forums, and am ready, willing, and able -- and in fact quite eager -- to ban people permanently for engaging in them here. Oh, and I also lurk on other Covid-19 vaccine skeptic blogs, so I'm likely to notice when the same posts are showing up on more than one venue.

4. If you don't believe in treating people with common courtesy, please go away. I have, and enforce, a strict courtesy policy on my blogs and online forums, and this is no exception. The sort of schoolyard bullying that takes place on so many other internet forums will get you deleted and banned here. No, I don't care if you disagree with that: my journal, my rules.

With that said, as the vaccinated keep catching Covid (and many of them never quite seem to get over it) while the rest of us are fine, the floor is open for discussion.

Sinister email...

Just now, my younger daughter’s primary physician emailed me a notice to schedule a “well child check”. This is new, and I got a sinister vibe from it. I hope it didn’t go to my Ex too. Daughter has no need for any medical attention, least of all attention which might lead to advice to get vex’d, and her “consenting”. I know firsthand that primary care doctors still enquire about c-vex status, and push it unconditionally. Maybe we’re not as far out of the woods as I thought. I’m still buckled up for this rough ride… ’shudders’…

Many thanks to all for the warm wishes! You really made my day!

Good news above but I will continue to send prayers your way for you and your daughter. We aren't out of the woods yet, the path just keeps twisting through clearings and deeply forested sections...

Fingers crossed that you get your new clinic up and running soon.

Oh and thank you for replying to my query about the tent stove; Winnerwell looks wonderful!

Hey Lunar-

Just today the Wa Board of Health voted to *not* add covid vax to the K-12 required vaccination schedule.

So it is not needed for school, if that helps with negotiating the minefield this whole issue has become.

Was it you who got the older girl a truck for staying non-GMO? Does your younger one like horses? Lots of good pastureland out your way. ;)

Thank you for the news from the WA State Board of Health and the no school-vex mandate! I hadn’t heard that. Splendid.

And yes, I did promise my older girl a truck for not getting vex’d. We went to inspect a 1975 Ford Courier. It had a marvelous engine upgrade and new trans, but the owner surprisingly let the body rust severely. So we didn’t get it. I’m pretty sure those Couriers were manufactured by Mazda, and like all Japanese vehicles of that era, were very rust prone. I’m thinking now of getting her a mid-80s Ford Ranger (a somewhat smallish truck, US made), and dropping in a rebuilt pre-1980 4.9L inline six cyl engine and modern transmission. But truck shopping is on hold for now, as my daughter developed an emotional crisis. When she regains her balance, and I get my income flowing again, I’ll resume shopping. I think I’ll have to put out more than 5K for a solid older truck, as a fresh crate engine and transmission alone will come to that.

My younger girl loves horses, and has twice been to horse summer camp. I offered her that again, but she declined, not because she no longer loves horses, but because all her woke, blue-zone peers teased her mercilessly about being “one of those horse girls”, and she doesn’t want to repeat that experience. She’ll be doing ballet at least, but that’s not enough…

I will keep her name and a prayer for blessings upon her welfare on my prayer tree, if you wish.
