astrologer at workIt's getting on for midnight, so we can proceed with a new Magic Monday. Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it. Any question received by midnight Monday Eastern time will get an answer. (Any question received after then will not get an answer, and will more than likely just be deleted.) The illustration?  An astrologer at work. I've begun studying financial astrology, using the writings of Walter Gorn Old (aka Sepharial) and David Williams as initial guides. Since my mundane astrology project has gone very well so far, with several hundred subscribers, I figure it's time to start expanding the range of things I know how to do, and I feel rather like the guy in the image -- well, except I don't wear a ruff. 


 I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use the button above to access my online tip jar. Sorry if this is not appropriate but I feel lost with nowhere to turn. In the last 12 months I have found out about collapse (crushing everything I thought I knew about the world), my husband of 10 years who I love dearly has cheated on me and has decided that he has been comfortable but not happy all this time and my chronic pain (as a result of childhood trauma) which I spent years getting rid of has returned (I had severe attachment issues and your husband cheating on you kinda messes you up). I'm also suffering from a huge bout of existential depression. I'm extremely worried that I'm about to end up in a suicides grave. I'm wondering if there is any advice from everyone here on how to get through this and any spiritual advice? I feel completely alone.

Please consider getting professional help. You're going through a serious crisis, and I recommend finding a counselor or therapist you can trust who will walk you through the process of coming to terms with what's happened and getting back on your feet.

If only there was such thing as a collapse aware therapist, who didn't treat you like you were crazy or just going through a 'phase'.

I hope you'll see this comment, though it is well past midnight. If a therapist is treating you as crazy or just going through a phase, then get rid of that therapist and find a different one! I've been through counseling before, with different therapists, and they're trained to take into account their client's worldview and treat them with respect during the course of counseling. Their job is to help you, not bring your views and beliefs into line with mainstream thinking. So, I definitely second JMG's suggestion to seek out a counselor.

Please do not commit suicide. I think all the industrialized countries have suicide hotlines. Use yours if you need it, and know that you’ll find friends on this site—real friends, who will help in ways tangible and intangible. Please keep posting. We care.
