That sounds like an elegant hypothesis but it doesn't seem to match the reality. Young people tend to be more active in both extreme ends of the political spectrum while the same young people are also more active in sexuality, so these two "actions" don't seem to be substitutes for each other. Of course, this opinion is based on my own observations, while your hypothesis must be based on yours. One should gather statistically "enough" amount of real data about these issues and analyze it seriously before entertaining Freudian theories about a supposed relation between them.
