I'm amused to note that Kvilhaug isn't quite unique in using that kind of language. According to H.P. Lovecraft, Nyarlathotep is the soul as well as the mighty messenger of the Great Old Ones! I have to admit, though, that I have no idea what either of them means by that. One of the reasons is that the word "soul" is very vague, and can be used to mean quite a number of things, very few of which are separate personalities or individuals.
Of course the old Germanic concept may be different. Winifred, or anyone else who's up on Heathen soul lore, I'd be interested to hear your comments.
