Magic Monday

It's just past midnight, so here we go with a new Magic Monday. The picture is of Jean Dubuis, one of the most influential alchemists of recent times. Born in 1919, he studied alchemy and other branches of occultism in a variety of initiatory orders. In 1979 he founded Le Philosophes de la Nature (The Philosophers of Nature), which played a crucial role in spreading the teachings of the French alchemical revival of the early 20th century worldwide; while he dissolved the organization in 1999, feeling that it had strayed from its original purposes, its correspondence courses are still readily available in French and English from L'association PortaeLucis, an organization founded to preserve his legacy. (I worked my way through several of the courses during the years when I studied alchemy, and they're very worthwhile.) Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it.
