Magic Monday

The image? That's the third card in The Sacred Geometry Oracle. Card 3, The Line, when upright tells you that it's appropriate to continue in the direction you're going; when reversed, it warns you that you are crossing a line into unfamiliar territory and some things will have to be left behind. The oak leaves on the sides of the image tell you that this card belongs to the first third of the oracle, which corresponds to Calas, the principle of solidity and materiality.

Re: Polar plunge
(Anonymous) 2021-12-27 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)I immerse in Long Island Sound every month for religious purposes, though I am not a Christian so the blessings are probably not fit for your purposes. In the winter and early spring the water is close to freezing, with chunks of ice floating in it.
In my tradition, it is necessary to immerse the full body including the head at least twice, and raise the soles of the feet off the ground so that the water touches every part of the body simultaneously. Depending how cold the water is, you will not want to submerse your head a second time--it will feel Wrong, like you're going to die.
Don't worry, you won't die. Just do it.
Unless you're in the Arctic, the air will actually feel warm when you emerge from the water. That's good. Use that time to dry off thoroughly and then put on clothing, ideally a wool hat. Wool retains heat even when wet. Then go somewhere warm--sometimes hypothermia can set in an hour or two later, so be aware and make sure you pay attention if you start feeling cold or clumsy later on.
As long as you stay warm afterwards, you'll be clear headed and have lots of energy. Use it for good! Best wishes,
Ms. Krieger
