Hi JMG,
I have a comment first, not a question. I am thoroughly enjoying Peladin's How to Become a Mage. Wow. It's amazing how his advice applies so directly to now. Thanks so much for announcing the publication a while back.

So I've been thinking about how humans, technology, and their obsession with technological fixes (for example, green cars, etc.). Would it be fair to say that the way humans currently use technology (say, iPhones, social media, etc.) are a form of worship (or perhaps magic without conscious intention) and they are giving their life energy over to these items? Perhaps this results in various thought-forms getting quite strong, thus having their own agency. This results in the technology having a life of its own where the collective energy starts to impose their agency upon humans. Perhaps this is partially how we lose our humanity and divinity? In other words, the technology starts driving us and we become vehicles for something else? Or is there something that I am missing?

Thanks in advance,
Nicky.
