Deal with them as you choose. If you'll read the lesson on the Law of Forgiveness again, you'll find that I noted that forgiveness doesn't mean letting people who've harmed you keep harming you. It's about letting go of emotional burdens, and one of the results of letting go of those burdens is that you can act more freely and effectively in their absence.

Unconditional love is the same way. It's entirely possible to fight someone on the battlefield and kill them while directing unconditional love toward them -- the Bhagavad-Gita and Japanese Zen literature from the Sengoku Jidai, the era of warring clans, are especially clear on this. The sword of the warrior is at its highest effectiveness when it's motivated by unconditional love.
