It's getting on for midnight, so we can proceed with a new Magic Monday. Ask me anything about occultism and I'll do my best to answer it. With certain exceptions, any question received by midnight Monday Eastern time will get an answer. Please note: Any question received after then will not get an answer, and in fact will just be deleted. I've been getting an increasing number of people trying to post after these are closed, so will have to draw a harder line than before.) If you're in a hurry, or suspect you may be the 143,916th person to ask a question, please check out the very rough version 1.0 of The Magic Monday FAQ here. Also: I will not be putting through or answering any more questions about practicing magic around children. I've answered those in simple declarative sentences in the FAQ. If you read the FAQ and don't think your question has been answered, read it again. If that doesn't help, consider remedial reading classes; yes, it really is as simple and straightforward as the FAQ says.
The image? That's the twenty-ninth card in The Sacred Geometry Oracle. Card 29, The Dodecahedron, when upright tells you that spiritual forces are involved in the situation; when reversed, it warns you that you will have to embrace personal change in order to deal with what's happening.. The sun in the upper left corner of the image tells you that this card belongs to the final third of the oracle, which corresponds to Nwyfre, the principle of spirit and meaning. We've completed our passage through the first two of the basic root functions of sacred geometry -- √3, the principle of the vesica piscis and the equilateral triangle, and √2, the principle of the square and its diagonal -- and now we're working with the √5, the seed from which the Golden Section unfolds and resolves all back into unity.
I've had several people ask about tipping me for answers here, and though I certainly don't require that I won't turn it down. You can use the button above to access my online tip jar. If you're interested in political and economic astrology, or simply prefer to use a subscription service to support your favorite authors, you can find my Patreon page here and my SubscribeStar page here.
I've also had quite a few people over the years ask me where they should buy my books, and here's the answer. Bookshop.org is an alternative online bookstore that supports local bookstores and authors, which a certain gargantuan corporation doesn't, and I now have a shop there, which you can check out here. Please consider patronizing it if you'd like to purchase any of my books online.

With that said, have at it!
***This Magic Monday is now closed. See you next week!***
1) It's fairly uncommon to have all the outer planets retrograde at once, though I don't happen to know how often it happens; it'll likely happen in bursts, since it'll take a while for the slow-moving planets to scatter so their retrograde periods are at different times.
2) Things will be more sluggish, certainly, but retrogrades aren't that big a deal. In traditional astrology, they're just an ordinary debility, not the bugbear they've been turned into by too many modern astrologers.
3) It's not mentioned in any mundane text known to me.
1) I'm curious about this, because Jupiter-Pluto are retrograde in my natal chart, and I was curious about how common it is. Based on the ephemeris search engine on Astro-Seek, it looks like it happens for a period of some months for a couple years in row every decade or two.
b) My natal chart has all of the planets other than Venus retrograde. Do you know if there's significance if there are multiple retrogrades in a natal chart?
Yes -- that happens tolerably often when a question is put into the middle of a thread. The answer to both of these is that I'm not a natal astrologer -- I specialize in mundane and electional astrology -- and so I'd recommend you consult someone who specializes in natal astrology.
Based on your answers, I'm going to venture a prediction purely for test purposes.
a) The Russo-Ukraine war will slog on without any decisive developments until Uranus goes retrograde on August 19. Then there will be some surprises on the battlefield, in diplomacy, or in economic factors (depending on aspects).
b) During the Mars retrograde 10/30/22-1/12/23, or within a week after he goes direct again, there will be decisive military developments.
c) During the Mercury retrograde, or during a few days after he goes direct again, a scandal or an intelligence failure will result in a political leader being removed from office, or a military leader's demotion, with results that have a major impact on the conduct of the war.
I'm doing this just for practice. I picked the war as the field of events because I'm paying attention to it and it is important. Because the Mars and Mercury retrogrades that fall within the retrograde periods of multiple slower planets are brief and do not overlap with each other, they serve as punctuation or a change of musical key. If there are general trends during the duration of the retrogrades of the slew of slow moving planets, and then something especially interesting occurs during the Mercury or Mars retrograde, we can perhaps attribute it to their influence.
